Reyka takes its name and character from Iceland's extraordinary landscape. The vodka is distilled in the small coastal village of Borgarnes, surrounded by the glaciers, volcanic landscapes and natural resources that make Iceland so distinctive. Rather than simply being inspired by its surroundings, Reyka incorporates them directly into the production process.
One of its defining ingredients is the glacial spring water used to make the vodka. The water travels through a 4,000-year-old lava field, naturally filtering through the volcanic rock before reaching the distillery. Reyka then uses Icelandic lava rocks to filter the finished vodka, helping to create its crisp, clean character.
The vodka is distilled using Carter-Head stills, which have a high copper content. Reyka states that its combination of the still and carefully controlled distillation allows the spirit to achieve exceptional smoothness through a single distillation. Production takes place in small batches, with each distillation taking around five hours and producing approximately 330 cases.
Reyka also has a strong connection to Iceland's geothermal energy. The distillery is powered using renewable geothermal energy generated by the volcanic activity beneath Iceland, adding another distinctly Icelandic element to the production of the spirit.
Soft and inviting, Reyka opens with a clean aroma accompanied by subtle hints of citrus and gentle pepper. The palate has a beautifully rounded, silky texture, with delicate vanilla and lemon notes bringing brightness to the spirit while earthy pepper adds a touch of complexity. Its smooth character develops gradually, with a mild sweetness balanced by crisp citrus freshness. The finish is clean and warming, leaving lingering notes of vanilla, lemon and soft spice.

We treat all personalised bottles individually, taking our time and experience to set out your message to create the most impactful bottle decoration possible. This may include increase the size of some fonts within the message to pay particular focus on key lines or phrases, spacing message over extra lines and removing unnecessary punctuation.
Yes, all the lines of messages will be centred.
If you can type it, we can engrave it! When using alternative languages it may be neccessary for us to alter the font to ensure all characters are supported, in these cases we use the closest style font to your original selection.
Unfortunatley we are unable to engrave emoji's or picture characters. Where these are added the character will be removed from your message.
We specially select the fonts we use. Once a bottle has been engraved the cut glass is then infilled with a special decorative silver paste. These fonts ensure we provide the optimum width and depth during the engraving process to creat maximum visibility once infilled.
The fonts we currently use are: Lucida Calligraphy, Lucida Handwriting, Verdana and Segoe Print.
